On 19th, May, the First “Airport Facilities”PBB Operating & Maintenance Skill Competition and Safe Operation Seminar are held on CIMC-Tianda Shenzhen Fuyong base. PBB operating & maintenance engineers, specialists of the aviation industry from 26 airports with over 10million handling capacity gather together to the competition.

CIMC-Tianda has researched passenger boarding bridge since 1989, with over twenty-year experience and development, so far Tianda has provided around 5,000 units of passenger boarding bridges for over 60 countries and regions. After a short rest, the welcome ceremony was held on 9:20 at the lecture hall. All guests watch the propaganda of CIMC Airport Facilities, getting to know the over twenty-year brand development of CIMC Airport Facilities. Ms. Chen Zhe – deputy general manager of Tianda expressed warm welcome and sincere thanks to all guests on behalf of the company. She said that sales should originate from service. In order to provide better service for clients, CIMC-Tianda service center has been established recently. This will accelerate the synergetic development of manufacture and service; promote the innovation of service pattern, help the company transfer from product-oriented manufacturing to service-oriented manufacturing and enhance the transnational operating capabilities and international competitiveness. CIMC-Tianda is aim to enhance the core competitiveness by taking advantage of global resources, business process reengineering and integrating industry train.

For pursuing better customer experience, providing more excellent service and intensifying communication with clients, the competition set four parts: maintenance skills contest, operating skills contest, technical exchange and safe operation discussion.

The competition was held at two areas during two periods. According to the competition contents, two teams were set: operating team and maintenance team. Competitors are from representatives of different airports.

The operating competition rules are as following: 5 competitors a team, each time accompanied by 5 judges, one competitor should finish the pickup process as the normal flow. Competitors should finish the pickup successively, and put PBB back to the specified parking point. The maintenance competition was judged from five aspects: professional wording, operating normalization, operating procedure standardization, safety awareness and overall rating. Competition rules are as follows: 5 competitors a team, each time one competitor should pick one question from three-type questions. Judges inform the questions, competitors have two minutes for thinking. Competitors were allowed to pick questions again and finished answering within 10 minutes. Competitors who were chosen through layers of selection all tried their best to perform excellent skills. Finally, Chengdu Shuang Liu Airport, Shenzhen Bao’an Internatioanl Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport won the first prize of operating competition and maintenance competition respectively.

PBB safe operation seminar began at 4pm, discussions centered on new generation PBB and safe operation guarantee. Participants spoke up enthusiastically; industry experts shared their precious experience, analyzed existing problems and making suggestion for better maintenance. Delegates from Wuhan Tian He Airport made special report on PBB operation. Xi’an Xian Yang Airport, Nanjing Lu kou Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport, Shenzhen Bao’an Airport, Xiamen Gao Qi Airport, Qingdao LiuTing Airport, Dalian Zhou Zishui Airport shared experience on safe operation guarantee. Mr. Liang Lexian – general manager assistant made a special report on PBB innovation and industry development, letting all participants have further understanding on CIMC-Tianda’s PBB and CIMC Airport Facilities’ new products and technology. Mr. Zhang Yitao——assistant manager of service center technical support unit share experience on PBB safe operation guarantee. All participants benefited a lot from communication and experience sharing and hoped the seminar to be continued.
