Container Weight Declaration available in DGOffice

The SOLAS amendment regarding Container Weight Declaration requirements becomes effective soon. This means that shippers have to verify the total weight of all loaded containers. We implemented this in our software, so you can easily create a Verified Gross Mass Declaration document.

As of 1 July 2016, shippers are required to verify container weights before loaded aboard ships. In 2014, the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) amendment was approved by IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee with the purpose of reducing safety risks. We implemented a document in DGOffice.net to specify the Verified Gross Mass for a shipping container (as specified in SOLAS Chapter VI). Below image is an example of the Verified Gross Mass document.
