Copperchase: Air Traffic Control Systems

Copperchase ATC Systems Engineering has designed, built and installed its AGL Control System into the Newcastle International Airports Control Tower Building.

The AGL system, which monitors and controls airfield operations from within the equipment room of the central control tower, provides ATC staff with direct control over all AGL circuits in use on the airport runway, taxiways and aprons.

Using comprehensive mimic displays of ATC lighting facilities on the supplied touch screens, the AGL provides timely Back indications of AGL status, Apron Taxiway Guidance and fault conditions to the Newcastle ATC and ATE staff.
