Copperchase: Air Traffic Control Systems

Copperchase has been selected to supply a replacement ATC Data System at the Isle of Man (Ronaldsway) Airport. The ATC Data System from Copperchase will support the ATC function at the airport and also enable ATC information to be distributed within the airport infrastructure.

The system was selected by NATS Services Ltd, the company which won the contract to fit out the Robaldsway control tower.

The ATC system comprises of the following Copperchase modular products;
FDMS (Flight Data Management Systems)
ATIS (Automatic Terminal Information Service)
METSYS (Met Systems)
ATC-IDS (ATC Information Display Systems)
AFTN Communications

The ATC Data System will enhance the current air traffic data facilities at Isle of Man Airport (IOM) and ensure the controllers time is utilised for essential duties. The new system provides full automatic Flight Progress Strip Printing, the dissemination and display of airfield meteorological information and the preparation and transmission of ATIS messages via VHF and via telephone land line.
