CU Phosco Lighting at Farnborough Airport

The project objective was to provide a suitable lighting scheme to four stands on the Delta Ramp at TAG Farnborough Airport which provided a method of saving energy from the conventional SONT floodlights currently used at the airport.

Solution:

CU Phosco Lighting completed an LED lighting design utilising the FL800 LED floodlight on 18m high masts. The LED design offered an energy saving of over 34%.

CU Phosco was chosen to supply, install and commission the LED scheme. The raise and lower 18m high masts were manufactured at CU’s fabrication facility in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire and the FL800 LED Floodlights were manufactured at CU’s lantern manufacturing facility in Ware, Hertfordshire. CU Phosco’s highly experienced Contracts Division was responsible for the installation and commission of the project. The Contracts Divisions completed the relevant site visits, risk assessments, method statements and lifting plans and were approved to carry out the installation.
