Customised Hangar Doors / Sliding Doors / Fibreglass Hangar Doors / Vertical Lifting Doors

As early as 2008, Butzbach installed a sliding door for the hangar of the Swiss company AMAC Aerospace at the Basel airport. The door, made of fibreglass and in the shade of Brilliant, features a width of 84 metres and a height of almost nine metres.

AMAC Aerospace specialises in the maintenance, service and inspection of airplanes, but upon request is also willing to take on the complete design and refurbishment of an airplane’s interior equipment.

Thanks to convincing and reliable service during the start-up project, Butzbach made a good impression with the responsible parties for the follow-up project – the new construction of AMAC’s second hangar at the Basel airport, for which Butzbach also provided a sliding door. This is around five metres higher than the door for hangar 1 and was commissioned midway through 2010. In both hangars, two stacking doors each were integrated as so-called tail doors so that larger airplanes can also easily fit in the hangars.
