Higher image quality for increased requirements

Regensburg (Germany), 16 September 2026 – Dallmeier is expanding its proven Domera® camera portfolio with the new 6900 series. With a resolution of up to 12MP and improved light sensitivity, the new models deliver further enhanced image quality. The higher resolution also helps meet the increased requirements of IEC 62676-4:2025.

The new series includes the RDF6900DN with Remote Positioning Dome (RPoD) technology and the SDF6900DN fisheye camera with a 360° panoramic view. Both models combine the higher resolution with the established advantages of the Domera® platform, including flexible mounting options, AI-based video analytics directly on the camera, and long-term software maintenance.

Higher resolution for increased standards requirements
The new 6900 series offers a high resolution of 12MP for detailed imaging. This enables users to meet the increased pixel density requirements of IEC 62676-4:2025. At the same time, improved light sensitivity ensures reliable imaging even in scenes with low light. Users therefore benefit from high image quality even under challenging lighting conditions.

Two camera types for different requirements
The RDF6900DN features proven Remote Positioning Dome (RPoD) technology. Its motorized 3-axis adjustment enables precise lens alignment over the network after installation. Zoom, focus, and iris of the motor-driven varifocal lens can also be adjusted remotely. This reduces the effort required for commissioning and service and makes subsequent adjustments easy if requirements or the captured scene change.

For applications where a single camera needs to provide an overview of the largest possible area, Dallmeier offers the SDF6900DN. Its stereographic fisheye lens, specifically matched to the image sensor, captures a 360° horizontal field of view while reducing distortion and improving shape reproduction in the peripheral areas. Motorized fine alignment of the image sensor over the network also makes it easy to precisely adjust the camera to the captured scene.

AI-based video analytics directly on the camera
Both models feature Deep AI Object Classification and support EdgeAnalytics AI Apps directly on the camera. Persons and vehicles can thus be reliably classified and analyzed for a wide range of applications. These include, for example, line crossing and intrusion detection in defined areas, as well as people and vehicle counting. The generated events and data are then available for targeted evaluation with Dallmeier client software.

Less effort for installation and operation
With the 6900 series, Dallmeier continues to rely on the variable Domera® mounting system. Different in-ceiling, surface-mount, and wall-mount installation options can be implemented using coordinated components. For installers, this simplifies planning, inventory management, and installation.

Long-term updates with extendable software maintenance
Like all Dallmeier single-sensor cameras, the new 6900 series includes five years of software maintenance. This period can optionally be extended to a total of ten years, providing users with long-term investment protection and planning security.
