Decommissioning of access roads with AGAT in London City Airport

London City Airport commissioned Evergreen Aviation to decommission 4 access roads connecting to RWY 09/27 utilizing Aviation Grade Artificial Turf – AGAT.

The 12 hour installation was carried out during closed operations the 16^th of January.

The asphalt access roads where in poor condition, with cracks and chipped asphalt, causing concern for the flight safety. AGAT was installed to cover the areas of concern – 8 in all – and provide for a food free environment and at the same time decommission the access roads.
