defendAir® Intelligent Seal & Lock System, Secure Transport & Warehousing

In December 2013 Alpha LSG and Monarch Airlines commenced flight trials of the defendAir on a selected number of flights departing from Manchester. By taking this initiative they have become the first airline partnership to test the effectiveness of this product.

Working closely with Alpha LSG’s Retail, Security and bonded warehouse personnel, as well as Monarch’s Security and Cabin Services departments, early indications are highly encouraging and feedback from all involved suggests that defendAir achieves all of its objectives.

Paul Lacy, C.E.O. of Transeal Security Ltd., stated that “…..the enthusiasm shown by the Monarch cabin crew has been amazing. Its simplicity, and how it dovetails with existing onboard processes, has enabled them to accept this change from conventional plastic & metal seals and padlocks to this new generation of container security. The fact that any unlawful, irregular interference or attempt to interfere with any container will be immediately visible to them provides a level of security and peace of mind that they have never had before.”
