Design and construction of Terminal Building 3 to expand Cairo International Airport in Egypt. The terminal building will be capable of handling 11 million passenger per annum. The project also includes the design and construction of airside facilities such as passenger boarding bridges, fuelling, pre-conditioned air and power supply for aircraft.
The project is partly financed by the World Bank. The baggage handling system includes safety checks and storage. The airside facilities are also suitable for A380 aircraft. The desert climate requires extra attention for climate control inside the building.
