Three and a half million air passengers in April

In total, 3,490,690 passengers travelled to or from one of Avinor’s airports in April. This is 1.6 per cent more than during the same month last year.
Growth was greatest in international traffic at 2.6 per cent. Domestic traffic increased by 0.8 per cent. The number of aircraft movements increased by 3.1 per cent overall.
At Avinor’s biggest airport, Oslo Airport Gardermoen, traffic increased by 2 per cent. At Trondheim Airport Værnes the increase was as much as 4.8 per cent, at Stavanger Airport Sola 0.7 per cent and at Bergen Airport Flesland the increase was 0.5 per cent.
From 1 May Bodø Airport, Tromsø Airport, Langnes, Kristiansand Airport, Kjevik, and Ålesund Airport, Vigra are categorized as national airports (not apparent from attached statistics for April, but will be apparent from attached statistics as of publication of the May figures). At 11.9 per cent, Ålesund Airport, Vigra saw the greatest increase of these airports.
Within the regional airport category, Haugesund Airport Karmøy experienced the greatest growth at 10.1 per cent.
Among the local airports, Florø Airport saw the highest increase at 23.7 per cent.
