The subsidiary will be an integral part of the group, but the establishment ensures clearly separated economies between air navigation services and other operations in Avinor. The total business of the Avinor group will be identical after completion of the demerger process.
“Establishing a limited company enables us to handle current and future challenges and opportunities within a sector that is experiencing major changes internationally. I am confident that this is in the best interests of Avinor, our customers, our employees and Norwegian aviation in general,” says Avinor CEO Dag Falk-Petersen.
“Air navigation services are characterized by internationalization, financial regulation and significant demands towards cost efficiency. With an organization more in line with corresponding companies in Europe, the air navigation operations will more easily be capable of adapting to these developments,” the CEO says.
Mr. Anders Kirsebom, who has been leading the ANS Division for the last years, will continue as managing director of the new company.
