Dusseldorf Airport Control Center (ACC) operational

The ACC at Dusseldorf Airport has been successfully taken into operations. The ACC is planned to improve the on-time-operations at Dusseldorf Airport and further improve on the passenger experience. To achieve this, decision makers of all departments and companies relevant to the on-time-performance are present in the new ACC, aside of the various departments of the Dusseldorf Airport that include e.g. both hub carrier Air Berlin and Lufthansa, Ground Handling companies or the Federal Police.

Establishing short information and communications links, at the same time installing new forecast tools, enables the airport now to identify potential problems early, verify and agree on the counter-measures and such prevent or minimize negative impact.

delair had been selected for the Dusseldorf ACC’s design and development consulting. Throughout the project, delair added their competence with such ambitiously dimensioned airport projects. delair not only handled the integration of various IT solutions in use already, but also integrated the specific work processes of all partners into a homogeneous ACC working environment.

The ACC at Dusseldorf Airport is the first center of this kind in Germany. Within the first days of operation already the use of new possibilities of the ACC and their impact to improve the processes became noticeable.
