  • It will be deploying a solution designed to increase non-aeronautical revenue at Quito airport

Quiport, the company that manages the airport system in Quito (Ecuador), has entrusted Ikusi with the deployment of its solution to increase non-aeronautical revenue at Mariscal Sucre International Airport, located in Tababela, 24 km from the country’s capital. It is the Dragonfly-CA+ solution that provides the management of airport concessionaires with an exclusive, innovative perspective.

Dragonfly-CA+ gathers commercial data from the concessionaires, correlates them with the actual operating data of the airport and analyses them using business intelligence (BI) techniques to offer airports the depth of analysis they need to focus their efforts on increasing non-aeronautical revenue, a growing trend in airport management worldwide.

The result is the capacity to develop strategies based on these marketing schemes linked to the evolution of airports on an operational level and, at the end of the day, the increase in their non-aeronautical revenue. All this comes about through the aligning of the interests and needs of the passengers/purchasers, the concessionaires and the operator itself. In the case of Mariscal Sucre International Airport, Ikusi will be gathering and analysing the data from 28 business premises at the terminal (restaurants, shops, VIP services, car parks, rent-a-car, etc.).

This project is the first endorsement of Ikusi’s non-aeronautical revenue solution in Latin America and also constitutes the first endorsement on the Ecuadorian airport market.
