Emulate3D Joins Rockwell Automation Encompass™ Product Referencing Program

Emulate3D now participates as an Encompass Americas Product Partner in the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork™ program. Through Encompass Product Partners, customers can quickly locate complementary products that best solve application challenges. These products are critical components or connectivity solutions that extend and enhance Rockwell Automation installations.

As an Encompass Partner, Emulate3D offers the Emulate3D Controls Testing range of engineering software, which enables users to test their PLC and higher-level control systems offline, and off the project’s critical path. This virtual approach saves both time and money at commissioning, and reduces the risk associated with implementing and running automated systems.

The Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork program offers global manufacturers access to a collaborative network of companies mutually focused on developing, implementing and supporting best-in-breed solutions to achieve plantwide optimization, improve machine performance, and meet sustainability objectives.

Rockwell Automation, Inc. (NYSE: ROK), the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and information, makes its customers more productive and the world more sustainable. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis., Rockwell Automation employs about 22,000 people serving customers in more than 80 countries. Encompass and PartnerNetwork are trademarks of Rockwell Automation Inc.

Gatwick Airport North and South Baggage Handling Systems

AutoLogic Systems carried out the as-built modelling of the Gatwick North and South Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) to validate the models for the system integrator before carrying out further tests. These were for a variety of reasons including the replacement of standard 2 scanners to the new standard 3.

Introduction To FlowControl

FlowControl is the most powerful way to create logical control within a model, without scripting. Its drag and drop approach enables you to create the behaviors you need to describe the real automation you want to model, without needing to acquire and maintain formal programming skills.

The objective of Flow Control is to provide complete control over the creation, routing and deletion of loads in a Demo3D model.

Its main features are:

  • Configuration via QuickLogic Procedures
  • No requirement for scripting
  • Processing external data files (such as Excel, CSV)
  • Load ordering (creating or pulling loads)
  • Load direction (specifying where loads should go)
  • Load disposition (what to do with loads when they arrive)

PROMAT 2017 – while every trade show we go to seems to feature ever more Virtual Reality headsets, only those users viewing models made with Emulate3D technology have the possibility of interacting with loads and controls within the model – and you can easily spot them by the size of the smiles on their faces!

Speaking of smiling faces – the winner of our PROMAT Bingo GoPro camera was John McCracken of Packsize. Congratulations John!

Last but not least, we’d like to thank the following companies who participated in the PROMAT Bingo competition by hosting our advertisement and flyers: Ambaflex, Carter Control Systems, Columbia Machine, Ehrhardt + Partner, Engineering Innovation, enVista, Eurosort, Grenzebach, Hy-Tek, Intralox, Numina Group, PSI Engineering, Qimarox, Retrotech, Sage Automation, StreamTech Engineering, Vanriet, Vargo, Westfalia and viastore.
