NORD DRIVESYSTEMS offers a powerful combination for use in mixing and agitating technology: MAXXDRIVE® industrial gear units with the SAFOMI-IEC adapter are specifically developed for mixers to improve operational reliability and reduce the use of wear parts. As part of an alternative drive solution for brush aerators, the wastewater industry also benefits from the low-maintenance design, which enables longer operating times.
The MAXXDRIVE® industrial gear unit series offers high output torques from 15 to 282 kNm and ensures smooth operation even under demanding operating conditions. The FEM-optimised and compact design enables operation under ultimate external loads. For agitator applications, it is recommended to combine the gear units with the SAFOMI-IEC adapter (SAFOMI = Sealless Adapter For Mixers), which features an integrated oil expansion chamber.
SAFOMI convinces with a compact and simple design. Its special feature: an integrated oil expansion volume. Oil tanks and hoses as well as the leakage- and wear-prone radial shaft seal between the gear unit and IEC cylinder are no longer required. As a result, the SAFOMI-IEC adapter on the agitator drive enables greater operational reliability and reduced maintenance. Not only is the oil level and thus the required oil volume lower, but thanks to fewer attached components the installation space is also reduced.
Higher operational reliability with less effort
With two variants of its MAXXDRIVE® right-angle gear units with SAFOMI, NORD offers the wastewater industry a powerful drive alternative for brush aerators. They have been designed to replace existing drive solutions and can be easily swapped out. As standard, the input stage is designed as an SAFOMI adapter. This makes the solution compact, low-wear and low-maintenance, and extends the operating times of the entire system. Two radial shaft seals on the output shaft offer additional protection – both externally against oil leakage and internally against aggressive substances that may damage the seal.
