A complete SBD process Geneva Airport implemented a combined Self Bag Drop process to facilitate passengers in the best way possible. Passengers who have not yet checked in prior to arrival at the airport can first check-in and print their bag tag at a kiosk before continuing to Scan&Fly to drop-off their baggage. Passengers who already have a boarding pass can proceed directly to Scan&Fly.
Mr Jacques Morgenegg: “Geneva Airport selected the Type22 solution because it offers the possibility of a combined Self Bag Drop process. It is clear that we have made the right decision. Approximately 50% of our passengers use Scan&Fly to print a bag tag and drop their baggage, while the other half uses Scan&Fly for bag-drop only.” For now, seven Star Alliance airlines are using Scan&Fly: SWISS, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, Austrian, Brussels Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines and Tap Portugal. Jacques Morgenegg: “Common-use Self Bag Drop is our next aim”. |
