The ground support solutions company is sharing its latest cooling innovation, boasting advanced features that continue to reduce downtime, costs, and carbon footprint.

FCS Finland, a Finnish company that provides ground support solutions to minimize aircraft downtime, has expanded its range of cooling adapters considerably over the past six months. Advanced 3D scanning technology offers a reliable way to measure the shapes and dimensions of the jet engine’s outflow channel.

We have performed several cooling tests in different conditions, with different engine types and around the world. The results are very consistent, and the cooling factor is stable. The absolute differences are only due to the temperature differences in the outside air and the different starting EGT temperatures.

The AFC-22/23 cooling cart shortens the cooling time by 75 %. It uses ambient air in the cooling process and thus does not cause excessive thermal shock to the engine. Our device is already used by several of our customers, and they have been very satisfied with the device’s performance.
