Glidepath Group is stepping up its presence in Australia as it wins new contracts to design, manufacture and install the next generation of its customised airport baggage handling, sorting and screening systems.

Now we are introducing the next generation of proprietary, integrated baggage and cargo identification, screening, sortation and reconciliation systems to give our long held airport clients and travellers greater confidence and travel security.”

Glidepath has work in progress or has just completed upgrading passenger check-ins and conveyor systems at a number of Australian airports, including Port Hedland, Gladstone, Mildura, Sunshine Coast, Sydney and Newcastle.

“We operate in a very competitive market but Glidepath has succeeded because we can design and manufacture within Australasia to meet the specific requirements of a job rather than simply assemble equipment from third party sources. We have proven competencies to deliver innovative solutions that are accurate, robust and intelligent with a quick turnaround and can provide full turnkey services and support and be there, on site, for the customer,” Mr Harvey said. “We are proud of our record of outstanding service and our ethos to customise solutions for our clients rather than deliver an off the shelf product.”

“We installed some of those systems 20 years ago and now we are designing, manufacturing and installing the new equipment and suite of integrated software control systems that provide a level of accuracy that is unmatched by competitors,” Mr Harvey said.

Glidepath has completed over 500 airport design, manufacture and installation projects in 61 countries in its 37 year history and has strong forward orders and opportunities to be in the bidding for projects coming on stream to bring baggage handling and security x-ray and tracking systems up to the standard required in a number of countries, including the Americas, Australasia and India where it has recently opened an office in Mumbai.
