Menzies Aviation - More successes for UK Ground Handling

The UK ground handling team have been extremely busy with a number of very successful contract gains and renewals recently.

Awards
I am delighted to announce that Menzies Aviation has been awarded a 3 year contract for ground handling services by Air Malta at London Gatwick (LGW) commencing on 16th May 2013.

This will be our first working relationship with Air Malta in the UK. We hope that this new partnership will lead to a stronger working relationship between both companies as the contract progresses and further growth opportunities arise in the future.

In addition to being awarded Air Malta we have also successfully secured a 3 year contract to provide ground handling services for bmi regional at Birmingham Airport (BHX)

bmi regional have recently launched 3 new start up routes from BHX operating to Gothenburg, Lyon and Toulouse. These routes will be served on an Embraer aircraft and commence from the 13th of May 2013. bmi regional hopes to develop these services and additional services in the future, and we will strive to grow with them.

Well done to Annmarie Horne, VP Commercial, for her diligent negotiations, supported by Brian Quinn, Station Manager BHX and his team through the process. We must also thank the team at East Midlands who consistently deliver great service to bmi regional, which was acknowledged by the airline as fundamental to the win of the BHX contract.

Renewals
In a very competitive market, Menzies Aviation has concluded the renewal negotiations of our existing ground handling relationship with Brussels Airlines at London Heathrow (LHR) for a 3 year term.

Congratulations to Fraser Burns, GM Heathrow and for the continued hard work of Jeff Forrest, Station Manager Heathrow and his team in delivering a level of service that eases the renewal process.

We are also pleased to announce we have renewed our network relationship with Aer Arann, a regional Airline based in Dublin, Ireland (DUB). This renewal is for 3 years, and covers Bristol (BRS), Edinburgh (EDI), Glasgow (GLA), Isle of Man (IOM), Manchester (MAN) and London Luton (LTN) Airports.
