Menzies Aviation is delighted to announce that Lufthansa and bmi have selected Menzies to provide full ramp handling services for their operations at London Heathrow Airport from 1st October 2010. Lufthansa and bmi together currently operate a total of 672 weekly flights to and from Heathrow. Menzies is delighted to strengthen its existing global relationship with Lufthansa, and to welcome bmi as a new customer to its Heathrow ground handling business.

These are significant contract awards for Menzies in the United Kingdom. I’m pleased that both carriers have chosen to entrust these important services to Menzies at one of the most significant stations in their networks, recognising the strength of our product offering and our people. The Lufthansa and bmi business will be in addition to our existing Star Alliance operation and customers at Heathrow and will considerably enhance our cooperation with the Star Alliance at this location.
