Experiences from over 30 German cities

Dallmeier, a leading manufacturer of video security technology in the Safe City domain, jointly with installer Dallmeier Systems, will present a wide range of best practices for successfully implementing “safe city” video projects at the GPEC 2022 (Messe Frankfurt, Hall 3 ground floor, stand B71) from 31 May until 2 June. The exhibition and conference presence will also include a presentation by Dallmeier Safe City expert Frank Salder.

Video security projects are not usually routine tasks
The powerful performance capability of modern video technology in public areas is contributing more and more effectively to the investigation and prevention of often serious criminal offences, or enabling an active response to be mounted. At the same time, officials representing the city, the police and local authorities are constantly confronted with the same problems and questions in almost every Safe City project. In many ways, this is also quite understandable: Setting up video security equipment in public areas is no routine task. Successful implementation depends on an enormous range of different variables ‒ whether as part of the decision-making process, the public discussion, or during planning or implementation.

Dallmeier presents best practices from over 30 large city projects
In order to support national and international security services, at the International GPEC Exhibition and Conference for Internal Security, held this year for the 12th time, Dallmeier will present its best practices from over 30 successfully implemented city projects. Cities including Cologne, Frankfurt am Main, Offenbach and Darmstadt already rely on the manufacturer’s patented Panomera® multifocal sensor cameras. At the same time, as requested by law in various countries, in many locations the Panomera® Privacy Shield also offers complete privacy protection for citizens visible from a distance at the press of a button. At the Dallmeier exhibition stand, decision makers and specialists from city government, the police and politics will receive useful information for evaluating, planning and implementing urban video security projects. At the same time, the presentation by Dallmeier Safe City expert Frank Salder, entitled “Video projects in public areas: An equation with many unknowns” will offer the interested professional audience a fascinating insight into subjects such as the protection of freedom of assembly at public demonstrations, the correct choice of technology for implementation, a total view of the associated costs, or also how to work sustainably with the existing urban situation.
