Industrial Acoustics Company Inc. (IAC) has acquired the Maxim Silex Group, which is based in Houston, Texas and Toronto, Canada. Merged together in 2008, the Maxim Silex Group is a leading force in engineering and installing a complete range of industrial silencers and emission control solutions for a wide range of applications. Maxim Silex is also a top provider of vent silencers and heat recovery systems.

Acquisition of the Maxim Silex Group strengthens IAC’s position in the North American and Canadian noise control market for the power, oil, gas, marine, transport, pneumatic conveying and industrial vacuum industries.

Maxim Silex supplies silencers designed to meet the most demanding applications and most strenuous requirements for engine or turbine exhaust noise control, silencing of high pressure vent applications, economical recovery of waste heat, and effective control of exhaust emissions. Maxim Silex will be integrated into IAC.
