Global engineered noise control solutions provider IAC Acoustics is pleased to announce that it has become the latest organisation to join the ‘Let Britain Fly’ campaign to expand airport capacity in London and the South East.

The independent campaign, launched this month, is supported by a wide coalition that includes business leaders, business organisations, trade and professional associations, trade unions, think tanks, academics and economists. It calls for a cross-political party solution to the issue of aviation expansion in the UK that maintains, protects and enhances Britain’s status as a global aviation hub.

Calum Forsyth, CEO of IAC Acoustics, said:

“IAC is proud to be the latest organisation to join this important campaign. It is widely recognised that the UK’s role as a global aviation hub is crucial to attracting international business to this country. It’s vital therefore that politicians and the business community come together to agree a sustainable strategy for airport expansion in the South East that preserves and protects this sought after position.

“As a global provider of noise control solutions, IAC recognises how important a consideration noise is for airport expansion in the South East, and we hope to bring our knowledge and expertise in this area to the campaign.”

Gavin Hayes, Let Britain Fly Campaign Director, said:

“Reducing the impact of aircraft noise is essential if we are going to expand air capacity as we need to. IAC Acoustics’ support for the campaign is very welcome and I am sure we will benefit from their expertise as we seek to show how air capacity can be increased without causing excessive disturbance.”
