German KVM products beyond borders
 
For the first time the German Guntermann & Drunck GmbH showed it's product range at the Airportshow Dubai. The German company and their IT products received a positive echo from the fair visitors of the Arabian peninsula.

At the end of May the products of the German manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck GmbH went on a long journey towards the "Airportshow Dubai" – a fair for the airport industry.

IT products for airtraffic control

By taking part in the ATC Global (Air Traffic Control) in Amsterdam in March this year Guntermann & Drunck got well recognized by the visitors of the fair. While the focus of the ATC was mainly on  airtraffic control the Airportshow
attracted an international audience in Dubai. The fair's one of the world's biggest events when it comes to the fields of construction, operation, technology and service.

70 % of the fair visitors at G&D's booth came from the Arabian Area, almost half of them from the United Arab Emirates. The other percentages came from all different continents of the world. Guntermann & Drunck met with it's product porfolio the needs of the demanding expectations of the visitors – not only by the label "Made in Germany".

Concentration on mission critical applications

For more than two decades Guntermann & Drunck develops and implements KVM products for extension and switching of computer signals. Their growing product range is extensive, because the products serve all different branches. Their field of application in the airport industry goes from common applications within the office and serverroom to applications in waiting halls. When taking a glimpse at the arrive or departure time G&D's hardware is used in the background to make things work. They serve for the transmissions of the information content from the computer to the display.

One further challenging field of application for G&D solutions can be found at the flight control in the tower. By the consolidation of airspaces the area that flight controllers need to monitor grows noticeably. Guntermann & Drunck GmbH dedicates special attention to those mission critial applications.  

Highest technical requirements regarding safeguarding against failure, redundancy and fall-back concepts are essential for all devices in use. By preventive monitoring the flight controllers need to be able to recognize any kind of problem beforehand to continue their work. G&D's products satisfy such requirements and proofed their efficiency in Dubai. The expected positive echo of the G&D's visitors showed that the German manufacturer set the course right.

Economic tendencies

The atmosphere in Dubai during the fair went contraryly to the currently common trend. People there see the economic downswing more like a chance to use this time for a thorough planning for the future. Efficient action as well as focus on quality are considered of being key factors in the arabic area.
