The Project

Don Mueang International Airport is located about 40 kilometres north of the centre of Bangkok. It is one of the oldest international airports in the world and today functions as a military and commercial airport.

Don Mueang Royal Thai Air Force Base, which is the main operating and command base of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), is located here.

Requirements

Three large hangars for the Royal Thai Airforce, each with an area of 5,000 square metres, were to be drained with a modular linear channel system installed across the doors. The drainage systems had to withstand high wheel loads and dynamic forces imposed by large aircraft, and also needed to ensure that surface water was efficiently intercepted and drained to prevent water ingress within the building.

Our Solution

RECYFIX HICAP F 1200, Slot 28mm, F900 was supplied and installed within the hangars.

This system met the project requirements regarding loading, durability and intake capacity.

Safe drainage is ensured by a modular slot channel system that can withstand the enormous loads imposed by military and civil aircraft.
