Today, Carl Hansen & Son is Denmark’s – and the world’s – largest producer of furniture designed by Hans J. Wegner.
The company has produced Wegner‘s designs without interruption since 1950, and continues to re-introduce selected pieces from the treasure chest of design that he left behind.
Hans J. Wegner designed a wide variety of outstanding furniture – some of which was specifically for airports. He created the “Kastrup” series of sofa benches and low tables in 1958 for use in Copenhagen International Airport, in Denmark. The stylish and functional series is still in use there today.
