At Farnborough International Air show 2018, IER and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) are announcing their cooperation and innovation collaboration to design a new enhanced passenger journey in Malaysia under the MAHB’s Airports 4.0 framework.
At Farnborough International Air show, IER and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad are signing a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate and design innovative passenger solutions to meet MAHB total airport experience initiative that is part of the Malaysia Airports’ Runway to Success 2020 (Rst2020) business plan.
IER Group will design and implement technology and services to enhance the passenger experience at every touchpoint from the moment a passenger steps into the airport until the boarding of his flight. As aspiring global service leader operating thirty-nine (39) airports, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad aims to deliver the best passenger experience where automation and digitalization of the passenger processes play a central role in creating a seamless journey.
“Collaboration with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad is the right framework to help them accelerate technology breakthroughs. We think of air travel as a combined experience of products, services and environments where passengers can enjoy a well-designed self-service technology that decreases wait times, increases throughput and empowers them with a feeling of control” said Fabrice Godeau, IER Managing Director of Asia Pacific & Middle East-India.
With Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, IER will co-design a Proof-of-Concept on digital automation process targeted for one of the international airports in Malaysia with a unique profiling of passengers and destinations. Developing the “single token” concept, bringing together the needs of Airports, Airlines, and as never before, it promises speedy and accurate interaction at each touch point, combined with the power to analyse passenger data movement – a unique system catering to Airports and Airlines.
Together with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, IER will explore some new technology and services, which could potentially result in joint intellectual property to serve the airport community.
