Ikusi will be showcasing at the Passenger Terminal Expo its solutions to improve operational efficiency and passenger experience

  • The dolphin FIDS 3.0 and Passenger Pax Flow feature among the new developments
  • Visitors will be able to find out about Ikusi solutions at hall 4 stand 5100

The new proposals Ikusi will be unveiling during the forthcoming edition of the Passenger Terminal Expo (Paris, 10-12 March) are mainly geared towards increasing the operational efficiency of airports and improving the experience of passengers as they make their way through this infrastructure.

Visitors to the fair will have the chance to get to know Ikusi’s new solution: the dolphin FIDS 3.0. A solution that is the result of collaboration between Ikusi and Samsung Electronics. This airport information solution incorporates Ikusi’s dolphin FIDS directly into the Samsung Smart Signage (SSSP) information monitors, without any need to use an external PC.

This solution, which makes the dolphin FIDS compatible with the new intelligent control technology embedded in the DMD series professional monitors of Samsung Electronics, provides additional capacity to incorporate content in real time.

This new functionality provides airport managers with a host of advantages, such as time savings in the updating of information and the simplifying of installation and maintenance costs with the resulting cost savings. Passengers will also have constantly updated information about flight departure and arrival times.

spider Pax Flow, the solution for operational efficiency
At the Passenger Terminal Expo Ikusi will also be presenting spider Pax Flow, a solution offering innovation in the operation of critical infrastructure and addressing the growing need of operators to monitor the state of the airport from a global perspective.

From various wireless technologies to video analysis, spider Pax Flow makes it possible to monitor the passengers as they make their way through the airport, to find out passenger demand at any location in the terminal, and to measure the capacity in real time in each part of the airport; that way bottlenecks or problems can be prevented at an early stage because the operator is in a position to take proactive steps. These indicators are obtained by integrating various data sources and systems which spider Pax Flow then turns into knowledge to support the decision-taking of the managers in a control centre.

It is a process that is bringing us face to face with what we could call the Airport of Things: intelligent infrastructure in which information is constantly gathered, processed and integrated. The aim is to ensure that decisions are correctly made in a collaborative way, that planning is improved, that resources are optimised, etc. And as a result, passenger experience is improved.
