dBD Communications provide a variety of communication solutions for aircraft De-Icing operations.

Options include 2 way communication via headset to headset or headset to cab intercom system, allowing the Cab Driver to communicate with the Controller in the open or closed Basket.

Alternatively, we can provide a multiple user communication system where multiple cabs can link together in order to stay in contact throughout the operation.

For example, if there is more than one operating lane and users need to interlink between the lanes in order to cross over operating teams, cab intercom systems will be utilised with a switch function between each operating lane avoiding any disruption between the two groups.

The De-Icing systems offer; radio or mobile interface capability; incorporation of communication to Flight Deck if required; up to 150 metre distance; 24hr headset battery life, continuous battery life for cab intercoms; 27dB noise protection on headsets; alternate headset variants and an option of latch, momentary or continuous microphone links.
