With 20 years of experience in LED technology, HELLA is a pioneer in the development of vehicle lamps and uses this lead to transfer the skills and know-how from the core automotive business to attractive applications in other business sectors.
As a part of this transfer, HELLA developed innovative solutions for airfield lighting in close cooperation with leading international airports. HELLA offers thus, thanks to the use of the latest LED technology, a high-performance and robust product concept for inset and elevated airfield lights. All products have been certified according to international standards such as ICAO; Annex 14, the FAA and IEC.
By taking over the Danish company Induperm in October 2011, which is specialized in lighting systems, tower equipment and heliport landing pads, HELLA could strategically expand its product portfolio and thus strengthen its position in the airfield lighting business segment.
