Significant and substantial reductions in losses and reported discrepancies fuelled the success of the defendAir tamper evident seal & lock system flight trials currently ongoing with AlphaLSG and Monarch Airlines.

The information provided by the seal allows the user to identify at what stage, for how long and therefore by whom; any irregular activity or interference took place on any piece of equipment the defendAir is fitted to.

The system is simple: Once locked any forced entry or irregular interference is displayed and also recorded in the seals’ memory. The only disciplines required are for the cabin crew to cross check the permanently displayed seal number with the bond paperwork and for the bond staff to do the same when the equipment returns to them. Any seal number discrepancy will initiate a wireless data download of the compromised seal and that will provide the evidence to start an investigation.
