Two new contracts, a five-year renewal and customer appreciation award for international air services provider

dnata added two new customers to its catering operations’ client roster at Changi Airport—Qatar Airways and SWISS. The new contracts were announced just as Lufthansa renewed its catering contract with dnata for another five years.

dnata will serve 1,500 meals a day to passengers on three daily flights departing from Singapore. The contracts for SWISS Air’s daily Singapore-Zurich service and Qatar Airways’ daily flight to Denpasar and its twice-daily service to Doha are effective 13th May 2013 and 01st July 2013, respectively. dnata expects to hire at least 10 additional staff to fulfil the contact commitments.

“The partnerships with Qatar and SWISS and renewal with Lufthansa are great indicators of dnata’s strong catering operations at Changi,” said David Loft, Vice President, dnata International Catering. “Our business in Singapore uplifts more than 4.5 million meals a year, and that number continues to grow. The team takes great pride in delivering the promises our customers make—in this case, a great meal.”

dnata works closely with customers to create menus specifically suited to the airline, customer profile and regional tastes. In Singapore, dnata’s other catering customers include Air China, Delta, Air France, Jetstar Asia, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, China Airlines and Garuda Indonesia. Garuda recently presented dnata with an award of appreciation for its contributions to the airline’s success, specifically the recent recognition of Garuda as Skytrax’s Best Inflight Meal Service—Asia Pacific.

In Singapore, dnata’s catering operations service more than 24 airlines and 50 flights a day.
