Date 31.10.2013

The Velcon Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, is pleased to announce the availability of the ACO-P Series 6” monitor cartridges. The new water absorbing filter cartridges are fully qualified to tests according to “EI 1583 Laboratory tests and minimum performance levels for aviation fuel filter monitors, 6th edition” requirements.

“We are excited to provide this upgraded, world class product to the aviation fueling industry,” commented Mark Hoye, Global Market Development Manager, Velcon Filtration Division. “We believe our customers will appreciate the improved performance the ACO-P will provide.”

Velcon’s new ACO-6xxP Series monitor cartridges incorporate several structural features to accommodate new or updated standards of the sixth edition of EI 1583 requirements. Some of these features and resulting benefits include:

  • Increased product conductivity to decrease the risk of electrostatic discharges;
  • Improved media structure to lower the risk of media migration;
  • Improved water removal efficiency, typically less than 1 ppm of free water downstream;
  • Improved on-stream life to improve water and dirt holding capacity; and
  • Lower initial differential pressure, which is a significant factor for installations that require changing cartridges at terminal pressure

Water absorbing monitors must not be used in fueling systems with a presence of anti-icing (FSII) additives.

Velcon has been the leader in the fuel filtration industry for over 60 years. To upgrade existing facilities or install new EI 1583 6th Edition-compliant cartridges, please email Velcon at vfsales@parker.com or contact an authorized Velcon distributor.
