Kemira has been persistent in the continuous improvement of environmental responsibility within its own operations. We also reduce our customers' environmental footprint through enhanced water treatment, efficient use of scarce resources and recycling.
Direct greenhouse emissions from our operations have decreased by approximately 95% since 2000, whereas our environmental business represents some 40% of our total revenue. This business includes products used directly for environmental protection, products reprocessed from waste, and alternative products competing on the market based on environmental arguments. Our Environmental Report refers to these examples as well as to the development of other environmental and safety related topics.
