The KeScan1516 is a Liquid Aerosol and Gel Scanner, which is used in airports for the detection of aircraft threats as defined by the European Aviation Committee. In 2014, legislation came into force in Europe, requiring all passengers transiting through European airports, wishing to carry liquids in containers holding volumes greater than 100m, to be screened.
KeTech was successful in supplying the KeScan units to 6 European countries and have scanners in over 60 airports throughout Europe.
KeTech are a value added reseller for the Chinese owned and manufactured scanners and work closely with Nuctech as their exclusive reseller in many European countries.

Sensec is the approved supplier and maintainer of security equipment into Sweden’s airports. Following trials in Sweden, Swedavia, the Swedish state owned group responsible for owning and operating ten airports, selected the KeScan1516 as part of their solution for the screening of Liquids, Aerosols and Gels.. KeTech initially sold 22 units through Sensec for deployment across the country, with a further 2 orders for an additional 17, making 39 units in total.
As part of the service provision, KeTech provided comprehensive training for Sensec, including both Operator and Maintenance training. To facilitate the first line maintenance service to be provided to Swedavia via Sensec KeTech has also supplied a full set of spare parts.
Continuing to support its Customers and end users, KeTech is looking to provide its KeCentral product to Swediavia to link together each of the KeScan1516 units both in location and remotely, by linking airport to airport. This will provide Swedavia with the capability to review security operations from around the country, and will provide an all-inclusive reporting facility detailing scans, threats detected, and unit function and test results.
