LodeStone adds balance in The Maldives

Gan Airport, the newly crowned 2^nd International airport of The Maldives, is the latest location to choose Damarel’s LodeStone Weight and Balance system. LodeStone delivers safe, efficient automated load control for both Local DCS hosted and ad hoc flights. 

Damarel is delighted to see Gan join the beautiful island group’s main Velana Malé Airport (MLE) in adopting both systems. In fact, MLE has benefitted from L-DCS and Lodestone since 2005 and following a recent upgrade to the common use platform has extended the use of both systems until 2022!

L-DCS went live at Gan on 1^st October 2017, with SriLankan Airlines flight UL120 to Colombo the first flight to be handled.

Addu International Airport Company (AIA) who has recently assumed responsibility for all passenger handling services from Gan, has added Lodestone to provide automated weight and balance for Maldivian Airlines and SriLankan Airlines flights operating from the airport.

L-DCS and Lodestone are used to efficiently check in and board all the carriers that currently operate in Gan. They are easily expandable and will grow with the airport as more airlines fly to Gan in the future.

Installed locally at both Maldivian airports, L-DCS will provide continuity of service to these remote islands of paradise. L-DCS is extremely easy to use, and the intuitive GUI makes agent training a breeze. With fast handling times and simple check-in, bag drop and boarding processes, queue times are kept to a minimum and you can, unfortunately, leave on time.
