Luxury in a feel-good atmosphere: proven concept with a new area

The planning and construction phase of the VIP terminal took around 24 months. The construction costs amounted to a good 20 million euros. The realization took place within the building stock – Fraport converted earlier airline sections for its own use as part of the project. At the same time, the VIP terminal can accommodate up to 100 guests for exclusive events without a booked flight event.

The VIP terminal has a representative but discreetly screened reception courtyard right at the beginning of the terminal driveway. There are parking spaces and charging stations for electric vehicles available. Inside, the VIP terminal offers two spacious lounge areas for communal use: The Global Lounge has an exquisite bar, and the Library impresses with its dignified and quiet atmosphere. Selected reading matter and exquisite illustrated books are not only used for decoration.

The renowned office MM Design Bergit Gräfin Douglas from Frankfurt, which had already equipped the VIP transit lounge in 2017, was responsible for the interior design of the lounge rooms. The atmosphere of the new rooms continues the design line of the VIP services developed there: high-quality interior and warm, rich colors meet exquisite materials and selected artistic accents.

Away from shared zones, the VIP terminal offers three private suites for a particularly discreet stay and two conference rooms for delegations and business meetings. A gaming lounge with pinball and arcade machines ensures a playful pastime. Guests will find a fine selection of cigars in the Cigar Lounge. There is now even a separate Greeters’ Suite for greetings and a chauffeurs’ area for the pleasant stay of drivers.

With almost 30,000 guests, VIP Services recorded their strongest passenger volume to date in 2019. Although the pre-crisis level has not yet been fully reached, Giesen confirms: “The increasing demand is there – and we are ideally positioned at exactly the right time to meet it with an attractive new concept.” Unique holistic

VIP care at Frankfurt Airport can be booked regardless of the airline and booking class of the flight. Rooms and services are open to anyone who wants to treat themselves to this special luxury. The prices for individual care start at 430 euros, additional passengers pay from 240 euros per person.

The special advantage compared to other VIP offers: The Frankfurt Airport VIP services cover the entire travel process chain, apart from the process points in the passenger building. They have their own security controls, entry and exit and shopping opportunities. The service package includes support from a dedicated VIP agent, handling of all travel formalities, stay in the lounge for up to three hours, catering and transfer between the aircraft and the lounge in an exclusive limousine.
