Today, the Straubing enterprise ROHR with its over 250 employees counts as one of the leading manufacturers of temperature controlled box-type superstructures for the German food retail groups, of tankers for mineral oil and heating oil distribution and is the leading supplier of military tankers for the Deutsche Bundeswehr (German armed forces). With the partial takeover of the Hamburg aircraft refueller manufacturer Kroll in 1995, ROHR was able to increase its product portfolio, know-how and manufacturing capabilities.

Rohr has specialised itself in the development and manufacture of refrigerated box-type superstructures and road tankers. Rohr also offers special solutions, e.g. in the fields of agricultural transport and the transportation of live animals, for numerous customer´s requests.

To date, about 15,000 vehicles have left the factory and the current annual production amounts to around 750 units. Appropriate to its high quality standards, it is not uncommon to see even old Rohr vehicles that perform their service on European roads for satisfied customers.

With the latest technical standards, our qualified Rohr team works continuously on the development and enhancement of the current product range. Permanent improvements in the manufacturing processes and continuous enhancement of the existing trailer and superstructure assortment are important elements of our success.
