New Product Launches from JLC at BIA Expo 2017

The new product development department at the JLC Services businesses has been busy! As a result, both JLC Aviation and JLC Automation, who are sharing stand number F14 at the BIA (British-Irish Airports) Expo, have some significant new product ranges to show.

Cables, Connectors & Crocodiles

As a ground power service specialist for many major and minor airports and facilities across the UK, JLC Aviation will introduce own-brand cables and connectors of its own manufacture at the show. Designed and produced using the benefit of JLC’s market and operational experience, the new cables and connectors are both much more robust and more cost effective.

Similar expertise and experience has also been used to good effect in designing a new crocodile system to carry the cables from the ground power outlet to the aircraft on the stand. Again, these are more robust thanks to improved corners, covers and construction, whilst also protecting and so extending the life of the cables enclosed.

Blast Resistant Automatic Doors

JLC Automation Services will be launching a new range of fully tested blast resistant doors. Ideal particularly for use at the entrance and exit of terminal buildings as well as other locations across an airport or other public transport hub, the doors have been designed and tested to meet the stringent standards of ISO16933:2007.

A video of the testing procedure, demonstrating the ability of the doors to contain the blast and not be destroyed by the impact will be available on the stand.

The doors are fully automated and the company is particularly pleased by the performance of the Manusa operator utilised in the construction, for which JLC Automation has exclusive distribution rights in the UK.
