InnoTrans 2026 — and what a show it was.

Four days in Berlin. A new demo product on the stand. Hundreds of conversations with engineers, depot managers, procurement teams and rolling stock manufacturers from across the globe. InnoTrans 2026 delivered everything NIJL hoped for and more.

The launch of our new demonstration product was a genuine highlight — seeing it in the hands of people who work with access equipment every day, and watching the conversations it opened, was exactly what the development of that product was for. Thank you to everyone who visited Stand 120. New faces and familiar ones alike — it is the people in this industry who make shows like InnoTrans worth attending.

🏠  New Hattem Facility

FROM 7 SEPTEMBER 2026

NIJL has a new home — Energiestraat 9-11, Hattem.

From 7 September, NIJL officially operates from its new purpose-built facility in Hattem — office, workshop and warehouse all under one roof. Years in the planning and now a reality. The new address is Energiestraat 9-11, 8051 TE Hattem, The Netherlands. Please update your records accordingly.

F-35 Cockpit Ladder — Another Order Shipped

Another NIJL F-35 Cockpit Ladder bulk order (Article 9112, NSN 1730-17-131-1155) is on its way. Originally developed for the Belgian Air Force and now NATO-codified, this ladder is built for one purpose — safe, efficient access to the F-35 cockpit during maintenance operations. FOD-free construction, non-slip treads, aircraft-contact protection, kerosene-resistant components. As global F-35 fleets continue to grow, so does the demand for standardised, NATO-codified support equipment.

NIJL and Sagar Asia — a new chapter for the Asia-Pacific market.

CEO Norbert Pieterse and Manager Engineering Emile Rosenberg recently met with Sagar Asia Private Limited to formalise a new partnership extending NIJL’s capabilities into the APA
C region. The Asia-Pacific market represents some of the fastest-growing aviation, rail and industrial sectors in the world — new fleets, new facilities, new infrastructure being built at scale. Sagar Asia brings the regional knowledge and on-the-ground presence to make this partnership genuinely meaningful. More to follow as this develops.

100 years of NIJL — and we are celebrating at MRO Europe.

In 2026, NIJL reaches its centenary. Founded in 1926 and now a global provider of access equipment across aviation, rail and industrial markets — one hundred years is a milestone worth marking properly.

MRO Europe in Amsterdam on 27 October will be a moment to celebrate that milestone wit

Michel Roetert

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our colleague and friend Michel Roetert has passed away. Michel was a valued member of the NIJL team for many years— known for his dedication, his positive attitude and his willingness to help others. His knowledge, experience and warm presence made a lasting impression on everyone who worked with him. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and all who knew and cared for him.

Rest in peace, Michel.
