Thermal management of switching cabinet’s in the energy-efficient εCOOL series combines three different cooling technologies, which are easily interchangeable thanks to a unit cut-out with standardised dimensions. Units are available in nine different versions, different colours and designs, and in a stainless steel model. They also hold all international certifications such as CE, UL and GOST.

Cooling solutions for every environment
The Pfannenberg product portfolio offers three different cooling technologies: air/air heat exchangers are inexpensive and are particularly suitable for dusty and damp environments since they keep external and inside air circuits separate from one another, thus ensuring that the inside of the switch cabinet is hermetically sealed. Pfannenberg cooling units are ideal in high ambient temperatures. Specially developed components provide energy-efficient thermal management. Condensers with widely spaced fins prevent dust and dirt from accumulating, thus ensuring reliable, low-maintenance operation. Pfannenberg's air/water heat exchangers are highly dependable and are used in ambient temperatures over 55 degrees Celsius or in extremely oily or aggressive environments. All units are maintenance-free or low-maintenance and impress thanks to particularly low noise emission.
The εCOOL series: energy-efficient and easy to install
As part of the εCOOL series, the cut-out-compatible Pfannenberg thermal management solutions unite even more advantages. For example, the units in the εCOOL 6000 series require 43 per cent less energy than conventional cooling units. Intelligent technology and modern components not only reduce costs for operators, but also CO2 emissions – a benefit for the environment. The units also boast exceptionally service-friendly features. The plug and play system makes maintenance and servicing easier at the cut-out. One person can install, retrofit or replace all cooling technologies in less than three minutes.
All data visible with Pfannenberg software systems
Another added bonus in the Pfannenberg cooling concept are the software systems Pfannenberg Sizing Software (PSS) and εCOOL Plant. As a cost-free, easy-to-use tool, PSS helps to identify the optimum cooling technology right at the planning stage to avoid over- or under-dimensioning. Additionally, it includes an open library???? for client-specific components. The εCool Plant control software is a key tool which all service technicians use to read and parametrise current status information on the cooling unit. Machine manufacturers can incorporate the εCool Plant software into their machine control user interface. The software is compatible with all εCOOL cooling units which are equipped with multicontrollers (MC). It also supplies information on temperature sequences and running times and an error history.
