Ecoflex when Green meets Clean

It is not enough that a cleaning solution is green: It has to be clean too. Nilfisk launches advanced concept that is both green and clean.

Nilfisk-Advance is introducing a new innovative concept of floor cleaning that changes the landscape of sustainable cleaning and turns “green” into clean. 
Green cleaning is popular, and several manufacturers of cleaning equipment promote green solutions but neglect the needs for cleaning performance.
However, cleaning is associated with environmental impact. Cleaning agents are chemicals, and the cleaning process is often using substantial amounts of water.
The challenge is to balance the environmental impact with a clean result – not least for safety and health reasons. 

Green meets clean
Based on more than a century of experience and after years of research, Nilfisk is now introducing its advanced Ecoflex concept. This ground-breaking method enables the operator to easily adjust the amount of water, chemicals and pressure to the surface. The result is perfectly clean floors with minimal environmental impact. 
“With the sophisticated Ecoflex concept there is no need to choose between green and clean, because it effortlessly provides the flexibility for both,” states Senior Product Manager Olivier Letreste, Nilfisk-Advance.
Different situations require different levels of clean, from the esthetics and safety of retail stores, workplaces, and offices to the sanitary requirements of health care facilities, schools, etc. 
The exceptional Ecoflex concept allows the operator to match the floor cleaning machine’s performance to the soil on the floor and the required level of clean. When encountering more soiled areas of the floor, the operator can activate the “burst of power” button for extra cleaning performance, and as easily return to original settings for minimum usage of water, detergent and power. 

Sustainable cleaning
The onboard system has the ability to turn off detergent supply and clean with plain tap water only. Since it is using only clean water in the solution tank, it doesn’t require dumping of unused solution, thus saving water and reducing the need for machine maintenance.
The end result is clean floors with least environmental impact and at the lowest cost.

The new Ecoflex concept will be launched worldwide at Interclean in Amsterdam in April 2010.
It will be  available on several existing and most upcoming models of Nilfisk floor cleaning scrubbers.
