LFV’s mandate is, with reference to the transport policy goals, to create accessibility to and from Sweden. We manage air traffic and thus an important part of aviation’s infrastructure, explains Mr. Olle Sundin, new Director General for LFV.
The number of flight movements in the Swedish airspace increased marginally during 2013, (est. to 694 000). An increase of just less than one per cent compared with 2012. At the same time, LFV showed the best economic performance since 2010. Profit amounted to SEK 95 million, which is a huge improvement over 2012, when the result was 9 million.
The good result is a combination of air traffic beginning to increase after the first quarter and our ongoing work to make our organization more effective, says Mr. Sundin.
