The PSI subsidiary, PSI Logistics GmbH, and the Fraunhofer Working Group for Supply Chain Services SCS Nuremberg have agreed to a joint venture in the field of transportation management.
In the cooperation, standards are to be developed for the recording, planning, performance and invoicing of transportation processes on the basis of a study to be conducted jointly. The goal of the study is to identify critical processes in transportation management, make a proposal for the introduction of standards and point out typical cost savings potentials.
The study is directed at logistics and transportation service providers and should be completed by the middle of the coming year. Companies interested in participating can register as of immediately at Fraunhofer SCS.
PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions, on the basis of its own software products, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, oil, heat, water), cross-company production management (metals, automotive, mechanical and plant engineering, mining, logistics) and infrastructure management for telecommunications, transport and safety.
