New integrated biometric ID solutions
SRI International Sarnoff introduces a new solution for integrating biometric identification into existing security systems at Passenger Terminal EXPO (PTE) 2014.
The IOM PassPort SL product delivers the free flow and proven performance of Iris on the Move (IOM) technology in a flexible design suitable for use in a range of applications.

The versatile system, which includes SRI's face capture and dual-iris recognition components, can be integrated directly into existing turnstiles, infrastructures or entrances. Security in high-traffic locations can be automated and enhanced with minimal changes to operational procedures and hardware.

Individuals are identified as they walk through the IOM PassPort SL system; with a processing speed of 30 people per minute and the unprecedented accuracy of biometric identification, the system is ideal for high-volume security applications.

Passport and ID scanning is about to get even faster

New wayfinding and inside-airport mobile app
Terminal maps for customers are now mobile, thanks to a new app from Simple Way. The technology, which is based on the SimpleCUe platform, is designed to be featured within an airport's own mobile apps, and allows passengers to search for shops, gates and even the closest bathrooms, directing them from their current location to their destination.
Also using online flight data, this nifty app informs customers of gate changes and quickly directs them to the right place.

New integrated passenger safety announcement system
The IED 5400 Series is the latest addition to the IED GLOBALCOM family of airport announcement control systems.
