Waiting time measurements in airports at security checkpoints, border controls, check-ins, etc., can be performed reliably with the Xovis PTS.
The data can be used by airports for resource planning to reach and prove the key figures agreed in service level contracts with airlines and for comparison with other airports. Service and the customer satisfaction are improved. The PTS offers two alternatives to measure predictive and actual waiting times:
Counting-based waiting times
All inputs and outputs of a waiting area are covered by sensors that count all incoming and outgoing passengers. From these numbers, the waiting area fill level and the waiting times are calculated.
Zone-based waiting times
The whole waiting area is covered completely with sensors. Every person is tracked and a precise waiting area fill level is available. This makes it possible to measure different waiting times for several queues in a single waiting area.
