Access-IS, a leading manufacturer of products designed to accurately capture and transfer information into electronic systems, has positioned itself for continued growth with the completion of a management buy-out.

Following a period of sustained growth, in excess of 15% year on year, the management team, led by CEO, Guy-Franck Nakach, have acquired the business and are focused on the Company’s commitment to being leaders in the development of truly innovative products. Using development capital provided by Mobeus Equity Partners and a passion across the Company to deliver the same high quality service as always, with new and exciting products, Access-IS expects to continue to deliver double digit growth in the years ahead.

Access-IS

Specialised in image processing, RFID/NFC technology, barcode reading as well as its specialist keyboard business which is where the business started in 1985, Access-IS is dedicated to manufacturing state-of-the-art products, from the world’s smallest OEM OCR reader to highly intuitive, feature laden full page passport readers.

The Company operates in three distinct verticals; Airports & Airlines, Identification & Security and Transportation & Ticketing. Supplying products to high profile customers and projects in all three verticals, Access-IS is the market leader in the Airports & Airlines business and has, over the past few years, been supplemented by rapid growth in other markets.

Built on a track record of check-in and boarding pass readers which can be found in 36 of the world’s top 50 airports, the innovative eMRTD and passport reader lines have driven rapid expansion in the Identification & Security sector. Developments from those same core technologies have created ticket reading and validation products that are now taking the Transportation & Ticketing market by storm and can already be found in major transit hubs such as Kings Cross Station in London and the Rome Metro.

Guy-Franck Nakach, CEO of Access-IS, said: “This is a major leap forward for Access and the existing management team and I, plus our loyal, committed workforce, are delighted to take on the challenge of making the business a force to be reckoned with. I believe that creating innovative and unique products will allow us to help our customers build their businesses and accelerate our growth plans”.
