John Werner Inducted Into the Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry

John Werner, President and CEO of Pilot John International® (PJi), has been inducted into the prestigious Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry!

John Werner developed a passion for aviation and technology while attending Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation flight technology and computer science in 2006.

After graduating, Werner became a pilot and joined Piedmont Airlines, which was then owned by U.S. Airways Express. There, he balanced his flying duties with a budding interest in aircraft maintenance. He was with U.S. Airways Express from 2006 to 2012. During that period, he honed his aviation skills while nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit that would later define his career.

Over time, Werner’s side venture of buying used maintenance equipment, performing repairs, and selling refurbished parts grew into a significant business enterprise. His ability to identify market needs and deliver high-quality services led to increased demand for his expertise.

This entrepreneurial endeavor eventually evolved into Pilot John International®, where Werner’s leadership has been pivotal in building a specialized team capable of navigating the unique challenges of the aviation industry worldwide.

Pilot John International® Takes Off

Pilot John International® is located in Greenville, North Carolina. Since 2009, Werner has been at the helm of this esteemed company, which is recognized globally for its leadership in aviation distribution and ground support equipment (GSE) service. The company caters to individual aircraft owners, corporate flight departments, fixed-base operators, maintenance facilities, military operations, and commercial airlines.

PJi has expanded its offerings to include avionics test equipment, aircraft parts, and a wide array of technical GSE services and is continuing to expand. PJi currently offers more than 100,000 products, mobile services, and more.
