G&D introduces a fusion of KVM and multiviewing at the World ATM Congress

Ergonomic, efficient working is a focal point in the latest controller working position concepts. With the help of academic studies and in close collaboration with ATCOs, providers of air traffic control systems are working on optimising working conditions for air traffic controllers. German manufacturer G&D is also taking this challenge by the horns. The KVM experts from G&D are presenting their concepts at the World ATM Congress 2020, showing how the latest consoles are optimally supported in conjunction with multiviewing.

The concepts follow the approach of displaying all processes on a large monitor rather than working with one primary and additional supplementary screens. This gives air traffic controllers integrated and flexible access to all required data. Modifications to the configuration of operating processes can also significantly improve workplace ergonomics.

System security is guaranteed by G&D’s KVM concepts with sophisticated redundancy solutions. Thanks to many years of experience working with ANSPs, KVM experts can now present the perfect integration of multiviewer solutions to display various air navigation system processes on one single screen.

G&D combines multiviewing with KVM matrix functions and control room features

CrossDisplay-Switching is integrated into the multiviewing concept, increasing user-friendliness at the ATCO workplace and facilitating switching between various image segments and their computer sources at the click of a mouse. The real-time display of multiple computer sources on one large monitor, and therefore the latency-free operation of multiple computers using just one single console, simplifies ATC control room work. G&D offers the latest systems for ANSPs supporting air traffic controllers in their work and guaranteeing maximum system security. The portfolio comprises a range of products, functions and monitoring features especially tailored to the needs of ANSPs. With this multiviewing concept, KVM experts are taking another step towards supporting future air navigation services (FANS).

Interested ANSPs and integrators have the opportunity for a personal consultation at the World ATM Congress from 10.03.2020 to 12.03.2020 at stand 433. If you’d like to find out more about G&D’s KVM solutions, please see www.gdsys.de.
